August 30th...one of the best days of our lives!

The first shot of the day, straight out of the crib!  He is in quite a hurry for his bottle in the morning...12 hours is a long time to go between meals for this big boy!!
\
Feeling a little better after some liquid energy...now we're ready to go get some breakfast for the birthday boy before school.
At "Old MacDonald's" as Hannah calls it...eating our fair share of pancakes!
I wish we could do this every day, Daddy!!
Caleb's day at school was special, too, as we took cupcakes for him and his favorite 36 friends!!  They enjoyed the sugary goodness for their morning snacks.  We picked up the kids a little early and had a birthday photo shoot at Celery Flats.

He only wanted to get down and crawl around--NOT pose with Daddy!!
Daddy teaching Caleb to throw the rocks...
As a quick study of everything dirty and dangerous, it didn't take Caleb long to throw them one after the other.

Fast forward 17 years and I'm going to take this same shot as a senior picture :).
For dinner we went to "The Moose Restaurant" (Texas Roadhouse).  The kids love their made from scratch rolls and their yummy peanuts.  Caleb was happy to eat and eat and eat!
After dinner we came home to enjoy some presents.  Caleb wasn't really into them.  Thankfully he has an older sister who loves to help out, especially where presents are concerned!  Caleb got two new pairs of shoes (he's gotta walk at some point), some new pajamas, a Sunday cozy sweat suit, a growth chart, and some new socks....Grandma and Grandpa gave him some money, a truck Pez dispenser, and a homemade shirt with a C on it.  He only needed to wait a few days to get all the rest!!

Then...cupcake time!!!  He wasn't really fond of the hat...
But he LOVED the giant cupcake we gave him.

He REALLY got into it.  There was cupcake everywhere...it was straight to the bath for this little dude!!!

Happy birthday, to our dear, sweet Caleb.  We cannot believe a year has already passed since the first time we met you, but we cannot wait to see what this next year will bring.  You will be walking and talking and running after your sister.  We love you more than words can say and you are such a blessing to our family.  Love you, Birthday Boy!!
