Apple Picking...Fall is here!!

Fall has arrived...the temperatures are cooler, football games have taken over my TV and the apples are falling off the trees.  On this fallish Saturday we decided to go pick some apples, although Hannah was most excited to 'pick doughnuts'.

On the wagon ready to be dropped off at the orchard.
Our little big man waiting for the fun to begin.
Caleb found some right away and spent the rest of the trip eating them.
We've never given him an entire apple before, but he did really well with it...almost devouring the entire thing!!
Hannah picked a few, although she enjoyed playing hide and seek with daddy in the trees the most.
U-Pick today was Honey Gold and McIntosh...we greatly preferred the Honey Gold and have 1/2 a bushel to prove it!

Yum,  yum, yum...aren't they absolutely beautiful!!  Apple crisps are in order for the beauties!
Mommy and the apple of her eye :).
And...the doughnut...Hannah picked powdered sugar and ate the entire thing and wanted more.  I was happy with my Apple Iced while Caleb had Apple Cinnamon and Sugar and daddy had a Pumpkin Iced and an Apple Iced.  Love these tasty family traditions!

And...always time for a photo shoot!!!

One last ride around before it's time to go home.

Tiny Dancer...

We recently started dance class at a small studio by our house.  We selected ballet to start with and thankfully Mimi outfitted Hannah in all she needed for class.  They have a special entrance into their room.
Quite confident...almost as though she's saying...I got this mom!!
By far her FAVORITE thing to do is check herself out in the wall of mirrors!
Doing some moves before class starts.

Showing sleeping beauty that she can do it too!!
Hannah's in the same class as two of her little friends, Savannah and Sophie.
 Stretching out...the 'butterfly'.
Practicing her foot positions on the mat...this is position # 5.
Rocking the babies...not quite getting it.  She did much better the second week.
And, the bye-bye parade at the end of class.
Her first recital is in December...it should be interesting to see how she does and if she really seems to like it.  She is the cutest little ballerina I've ever seen.  Mommy's proud to be able to share this time with her tiny dancer!!

Happy Labor Day!

We had plans to go to the beach for one last sunny hooray...however, mother nature had different plans.  Since it was windy and pretty chilly (a high of 60) we went to breakfast and to the park instead.  Here we are outside Cracker Barrel showing some patriotic pride.

PaRtY!!!

Saturday at 10:00 we celebrated Caleb's first year.  Aunt Kristen, Uncle Curt, Oma, Opa, Grandma, Grandpa, and Mimi and Papa were here to celebrate!  Caleb loves balls, so we had a bouncy first birthday party for him.  He got a LOT of balls!!!

Mimi helped me make cake pops decorated like sports balls...if you haven't had them, you've got to try them.  They were a little bit of time to get them all done, but they were worth it!!
The decorated table...
Birthday cake and cupcakes....
Our sweet, sweet princess Hannah on her little brother's birthday.
Trying to get a cute picture of them together.  Caleb just wasn't into it...
That's a little better...sibling love!
Mommy and her two favorite, precious peanuts.
Papa, Hannah, Mimi and Caleb.  It is so special when they come to visit from Missouri.  We had a great time together!
Grandpa, Caleb, Hannah, and Grandma.
Hannah, Aunt Kristen, Uncle Curt, and Caleb.
Caleb with his presents and a few small balls.
Throwing them, two at a time...endless hours of fun here!!
Grandma made Caleb his first birthday blanket...it's SO snuggly!
Mimi and Papa got Caleb a Buzz Lightyear battery car...as you can see, Caleb was VERY pleased with this gift!
Caleb in a basket of balls...I didn't count, but he had to get over 30 of them!
The whole clan...all actually looking at the camera...one sharp group!!
Our lovely family
Opa, Caleb, and Oma.
The cake...Caleb wasn't sure about the singing, but he was all in on the cake!!
Hannah helping to blow out the candle.

And another mess to clean!  He loves his yummies, that's for sure!!
In addition to the car and blanket, Caleb got a talking tee-ball set, a golf set, an adjustable basketball hoop, some Mizzou outfits, money, a sports sweatshirt, a baseball snuggie to sleep with, a bat and ball, a toy airplane, and balls, balls and more balls!  It was a great morning.  We served brunch and when everyone had their fill we moved on to presents...it was so great to have our loved ones here to share in this day with us and to celebrate all that Caleb means to each of us.
