Trunk or Treat...

We had our annual Trunk or Treat at our church yesterday.  The kids had a fabulous time and thankfully the weather cooperated.  There were tons of kids who came out to celebrate and lots of wonderful costumes were worn!!
Our little dragon looking for some candy...he quickly learned how to put it in the pumpkin and then take it out!!  He ate many suckers and didn't seem to mind that some of them still had the wrappers on them.  :)

I'm ready--let's go get some candy, guys!

Our sweet little cheerleader--she got lots of compliments on her braids and her Mizzou pride!
Happy, Happy, Happy!
Trick or Treat, smell my feet...we told Hannah that wasn't the most polite, so instead on the way home in the car she sang:  Patty Cake, Patty Cake baker's man, put some candy in my hand.  Much better, and where does she come up with this stuff ??

Our beautiful family...
Some bounce house fun...
The horse and carriage ride...
Caleb dumped the popcorn into the chair to be able to more easily graze!!

There's a dino on the loose :)...

He's getting pretty confident on his four wheeler and rides it fast.  He hasn't quite learned how to steer...that will come, though.  I can so see him doing these 'stunts' with his dad when he is older on his real 4-wheeler...
All MINE!!!

All that sugar got him going!!

We have a walker!!!  To celebrate Caleb's 14th month, he decided to get going and start walking!  We knew it was just a matter of time before he would figure it out.  Tonight at our trunk or treat activity at church I was able to get him in action...He is so proud of himself and so he should be.  He still does a mixture of walking and crawling, but our lives have forever changed with this new mode of transportation and independence!

Why not a little MORE sugar?

Hannah helped me bake some Halloween cookies yesterday afternoon.  She helped mixing the ingredients, cracking the eggs, and she was the cookie flattener with a glass.  She did a great job.  After the baked we iced them and she helped put some sprinkles on them...check out the pile in front of her--she got just a little carried away.  Aren't they happy!!

Carving pumpkins...

After a Saturday morning treat of some cinnamon rolls, it was time to get dirty with some pumpkin carving.  The focus and determination of these two is A++!

Why wouldn't pumpkin carving now require a power tool?  It was a pumpkin reamer that cleaned out the insides in no time flat.  Hannah and Caleb were amazed!
Waiting for some of the good stuff...such a sweet, sweet boy!
 Hannah doing her part...
So determined to have it done just right...
 Love this face!

The finished product...Hello Kitty vampire for Hannah and a crazy skeleton and cat for Caleb.

School Party

Friday afternoon the kid's daycare hosted a Halloween party...complete with a candy parade, treats and drinks, and a hayride.  The kids had such a great time and got LOTs of candy to eat!  It is always fun to see all the kids they play with all day.  It was chaos there for a little while, but they all enjoyed themselves!

Hannah and a few of her friends...Ellie, Ava, Kayden, Ana, and Hannah

Daddy was one of the caddy stations during the parade--I think this is where Hannah scored MAJOR candy!
 Mmmm...chocolate covered marshmallow!
The gang...Lilly (the little gnome) is one of Hannah's besties...all the girls are so sweet together and run and hug each other when they get there in the morning and hug when they leave in the afternoon.  Hannah's favorite 'boyfriend' is a sweet little boy named Jakie...so sweet!

Caleb wasn't so sure about the hayride at first...but he made it around.
Hannah had so much fun she went several times, this time with Lilly and Ava.
 Our happy little dinosaur!
Hannah posing with the pumpkin her group carved.  We left just in time for the rain to start...it was a great celebration!
