Our 'lil punkins...

One of the best parts of fall, in my opinion, is picking put pumpkins and carving them into some beautiful creations!  Hannah enjoyed it a lot this year as she was able to pull the wagon and help pick the perfect pumpkins.  I think she did a wonderful job!

Caleb's Baptism Celebration

Sunday was a gloriously blessed day for our family as we were able to baptize Caleb in front of our family and friends at Southridge.  It was a beautiful fall day filled with sunshine.  There were seven other little ones being baptized that same day--praise the Lord!!  We were a little bit nervous to see how Hannah would handle the change in routine as she got to sit in big church with us and be a part of the baptism as well.  There were a few small comments from her, although they were not loud enough to disrupt the activities.  Before Caleb was baptized we shared a few photos of him and a paragraph that we had written for him.  He was such a good boy and only fussed a tiny bit when the water was brushed on his forehead.  He looked SO handsome wearing the baptism outfit that Craig had worn 34 years earlier!!

After church we returned home where we had a brunch in Caleb's honor...it was such a wonderful day and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to share the love of our savior with our children each and everyday!  Almost daily Hannah plays "going to church" where she gets her bible book, puts it in her bag and takes a trip to church.  She loves to pray and it is so awesome to know that she understands some of the things we are teaching her.  My, how we have been blessed!!!

 

Better late than never...

So, after six weeks we decided it was time to put up some decorations and make some curtains for Mr. Caleb's room.  After a few hours of work and some deliberation on where to put things, we're really pleased with the way it turned out.  Now...it's time to finish up Hannah's :).

I love my new room!  I sleep really well in it and I've promised mommy to sleep all night long really soon!!

A sailor went to sea sea sea...

I had a great time with a little photo shoot with Caleb this weekend...Mimi has had this sailor outfit for over six years waiting for a grandson to be able to wear it.  Well...here he is and he made it look super cute.   He's started to smile quite a bit and has a few episodes of cooing every day (although every time I get the video camera out to record it and share he pipes down).  He's still such a wonderful baby and is working his way up to sleeping through the night.  He is six weeks old today and is growing bigger and bigger right before our eyes.  We estimate he is well over 10 pounds and probably 23 inches long.  We're having a big celebration this weekend as he is getting baptized on Sunday...wearing daddy's 34 year old baptism outfit...he will look so handsome!  I'll post pictures!!

Our precious Hannah did such a good job posing for the camera...apparently the photographer had a stuffed monkey that he used to keep the kid's attention...it worked wonderfully for Miss Hannah!
